While touring Europe, the visitors are often mesmerized by the superb locations and the beautiful cities that offer numerous tourist attractions. It is believed that the most beautiful part of the European continent is its northern part, which consists of some of the loveliest tourist destinations. Due to the favorable geographical location of north Europe, with pleasing climate all round the year, most of the northern European countries witnesses thousands of tourists coming from distant parts of the world.

North Europe includes the Nordic countries like- Iceland, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway. Denmark lies in extreme south to the other Nordic countries, south to Norway and southwest to Sweden. The North Sea and the Baltic Sea touches Denmark from two different directions. Denmark, lying in the temperate zone, witness winters and summers which has average temperature of 0 degrees and 16 degrees respectively.
Located in the west part of the Scandinavian Peninsula in North Europe, Norway shares its borders with Finland, Sweden and Russia. The large coasts in Norway touch the North Atlantic Ocean. To the western and southern borders of Norway lies the Norwegian Sea, the Skagerak and the North Sea. The Barents Sea lies to the northern border of this country. Sweden is one of the major Nordic countries that situated in the geographical location of north Europe. The Baltic Sea washes its eastern coasts and the countries like Norway and Finland lies to its north and northeast respectively. Lying in the east part of the Scandinavian Peninsula, Sweden is located to the west of the Gulf of Bothnia.
The countries like Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia come within north Europe. Estonia shares its borders with Russia to the east and Latvia to the south. The Gulf of Finland and the Baltic Sea lies in the north and west of Estonia. Lithuania lies south to Latvia and shares its southwest borders with Poland and southeast borders with Belarus. The United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland also lies in within the geographical location of north Europe. The United Kingdom is surrounded by the English Channel, Atlantic Ocean, the Irish Sea and the North Sea.
