Tourist Attractions in Denmark

  • North Jutland Museum of Art or Nordjyllands Kunstmuseum - This is an art museum in Aalborg or Ålborg and comprises of many building of different shapes, an ampitheatre, a sculpture park and concert rooms amd other rooms meant for functions and programs. It houses numerous Danish painting belonging to the era after the year 1890 and art of foreign paintings.

  • Hammershus Castle Ruins - Located in the island of Bornholm, these ruins are considered to be largest medieval castle ruins in the whole of north Europe. It was constructed in the year 1250 as a means of protection against the Danish kings in those times.

  • Lichtenbergs Palæ - This is an old palace located in Søndergade. The structure that we see today is a reconstruction of the old one in the Baroque style, dating back to the 1744. It has been turned into a hotel today.

  • Christiansø - This is a beautiful 17th Century island fortress located in the island of Frederiksø.

  • Legoland - This is a theme park that has been built out of the Lgo plastic blocks and is considered as one of the most important and popular tourist attractions in Denmark.

  • Nationalmuseet or National Museum - This ranks as the largest and most impressive museums in the whole of the Scandinavian region, located in the capital city of Copenhagen. It houses myriad artifacts dating back to the the Danish Stone Age through to the 19th Century, Viking Helmets, Egyptian mummies, coins from the royal treasury and much more.

  • Tivoli Garden - This is an amusement park in Copenhagen and is believed to be the inspiration behind Walt Disney. It houses colors and flowers, food and activities and is a venue for concerts, theatrical performances and more.
