The Faroe Islands are a group of islands that one would find in the northern part of Europe or in North Europe. These islands are situated amidst the North Atlantic Ocean and the Norwegian Sea. - Bordoy - This town has a population of 5000 and it could also be said that it is the second largest town as far as the Faroe Islands are concerned. It is the natural harbor that adds to its beauty and the two most important places of visit at Bordoy are the St Christian Church and the History Museum.
- Eysturoy - To the north of Eysturoy is situated the highest cliffs of the Faroe Islands. The tourists are also offered with the opportunity to go for trekking at these cliffs and the view from the top is just awesome.
- Mykines - This small island is easily accessible and the most important fact that is associated with this island is that the rocks of this island are inhabited by the birds, such as puffins, seagulls and guillemots.
- Sandoy - Sandoy adverts to 'Sand Island' and this island has got its name due to its glorious sandy beaches and it offers excellent fishing facilities and the old house that features a chimney and a fireplace is worth a visit.
- Streymoy - This largest island lies to the north of the capital as well as the port of the Faroe Islands, known as the Torshavan. It has a population of 15,000. The places of visit at this island are the fortress of Skansen, the National Museum, Maritime Museum, Art Gallery and the Nordic House (culture centre).
- Suduroy - The road that leads to the Sudoroy Island passes the Beinisvord Cliffs situated on the west coast and this island offers good opportunities to spend some good times with friends and family.
- Vagar - At Vagar, allow yourself to get mesmerized by the Bosdalafossur Waterfall and the Trollkonfingur (unique rock information) and the statue of King Frederick VII, who stands at a height of 1,150 ft and the Folklore Museum situated in Miovagur (a village to the south of Vagar).
- Vidoy - It is situated to the south of the Faroe Islands and from Cape Enniberg the tourists can get a view of the islands.
