Oslo is the capital and biggest city of Norway and it is also an urban district having corporate status and powers of self-government and a region of its own. The Oslo city was founded on January 1, in the year of 1838. Oslo was detached from the Akershus and established as an individual county of its own in the year of 1842. On 1st January of 1948, the municipality of Aker was incorporated with Oslo.The total population of the city of Oslo is 551,832 inhabitants. Temperatures below zero may be felt from the month of November until March. January is the colder month with a minimum temperature of -4.3°C.
